I’m excited for 2019, lots of good stuff is coming up this year!
Kingdom Hearts 3 is officially out this month! Holy crap! It’s been, what? 14 years since Kingdom Hearts 2 came out? Woah, that means it was that long ago I was in College. I remember the day I got Kingdom Hearts 2. I bought it first thing in the morning, and somehow I overcame the urge to skip College that day. I got home at 6pm-ish, and was playing it until 3am. Great times. I can’t wait to finally see how it ends.
I’m also going to Japan this year! I’m looking forward to it like crazy. I’m still trying to cram in as much basic Japanese language learning to help me get by when I get there. That’ll be one of the best holidays ever. We also have plans to do new year in Vegas. So once again a busy holiday year. After this year Terry and I plan on taking it a little easier on holidays so we can save more to buy a flat.
Other awesome things in 2019 include the final season of Game of Thrones, Ori and The Will of The Wisps being released and a new Stranger Things season. These are all big events in my book.
I haven’t done resolutions in a few years, but I felt like it this year, so let’s give these a go, I don’t really consider some of these ‘resolutions’ as they’re not all really changes as such, just goals, but anyway here’s some personal achievements I’d like to accomplish this year:
- I want to read more, so I’m setting myself a challenge of reading five fiction books this year. This has to be five books I haven’t previously read. I feel I’m missing out on some pretty awesome stuff never sitting down to read, so that’s something I’d like to do.
- Increase my shop’s presence significantly. I’ve got a vague idea of what this means, maybe a little increase in profit, but mostly I want to get better at social media and plugging my shop myself. I’m really not very confident about plugging my own creative stuff, and I want to get over that. If I feel more confident shouting about my art/shop stuff I’ll count that as a win in 2019.
- General wellbeing/health stuff. I started getting in to the swing of the gym again at the end of 2018, so just to continue with that, been going about two or three times a week currently, so I’d like to start going three times regularly. I also want to start going to the cinema more, because I miss out on rad films all the time because nobody ever has time to go with me, so I want to start going now I finish work earlier regardless of participants.
I think that’s pretty much it, mostly happy with how things are going at the moment. I’m looking forward to working my new shift pattern this year, means I have more weekends and longer evening free time! It’ll be weird not having four days off in a row, but I’m sure I’ll prefer the regularity of working the same days each week!
